Stenographic Transcript of the Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Central Committee of the Romanian Communist Party

18 Mar 1969
Description: This stenographic transcript contains a report by the general secretary of the Romanian Communist Party, Nicolae Ceauşescu, on the Political Consultative Committee (PCC) meeting in Budapest. Among of the concerns at the PCC meeting are the ongoing Sino-Soviet border clashes. According to Ceauşescu, these are to be discussed bilaterally with China and not within the framework of the PCC. The report relates to issues on which the Romanian delegation expresses disagreement with the Soviet side. Among those issues is the appeal for holding a conference on European security and the Polish proposal to reject the West German claim to West Berlin.
