14 Jun 1990
Description: This summary presents the key points of a report on the logistics and supply units of the Warsaw Pact (WP) in the context of the newly introduced defensive military doctrine. The report was delivered at the 25th meeting of the WP's Committee of Ministers of Defense in East Berlin in 1990. The roles, function, and structure of logistics and supply units are discussed. The importance of these troops is increasing, and the new defensive strategy makes it especially crucial that they be able to mobilize swiftly.
