Record of the Hungarian People's Army Headquarters Operational Group Directorate of the War Game

Description: Chief of Staff of the Hungarian People's Army and Deputy Minister of Defense Károly Csémi reports that a "front-army" war game will be conducted between 21 and 26 June 1965. He states that the objective of the exercise will be the transfer of frontline troops to the offensive from a peacetime state of readiness, and the unfolding of offensive operations in the theater of war. Further, Csémi states that the operations will be carried out in the southeastern theater of war under conditions of use of nuclear weapons.
