Theses for Presentation on "State and Development of NATO Forces and Preparation of Theater of War"

7 Jan 1975
Description: This summary presents the main theses of an East German report on the state and development of NATO's armed forces, delivered during the seventh session of the Warsaw Pact Committee of Defense Ministers (CDM) in Moscow in 1975. Despite the détente in military-political relations between the two blocs, the report assesses that NATO has improved the quality of its weapons systems without increasing their total quantity. NATO has also further improved its military infrastructure, which further enhances its capabilities.
