Speech by the Polish Foreign Minister (Stefan Olszowski)

21 Oct 1982
Description: This is the transcript of a speech given by Polish Foreign Minister Stefan Olszowski at the 1982 meeting of the Warsaw Pact's Committee of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CMFA) in Moscow. He claims that the US is responsible for the deterioration of the international political climate. He also holds that the new West German government is a natural ally of the US and therefore poses a threat to Poland. At the end of his speech, he remarks that the new Law on Trade Unions in Poland would make the Solidarność movement illegal.
