Description: This summary presents the key elements of an informal speech by Polish leader Wojciech Jaruzelski, delivered during the 19th session of the Warsaw Pact's (WP) Committee of Ministers of Defense (CMD) in Warsaw in 1986. Jaruzelski comments on the domestic political situation of Poland. Besides political stabilization, other problems remain unsolved, such as the economic situation, the debt burden, and relations betwen the regime and the Catholic Church.
