Stenographic Transcript of the Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Central Committee of the Romanian Communist Party

25 Aug 1968
Description: This stenographic transcript gives an account of the meeting of the Central Committee (CC) of the Romanian Communist Party (RCP) addressing discussions between Romanian party leaders and Yugoslav head of state Josip Broz Tito and of a letter sent by the Politburo of the CC of the CPSU to the RCP. A proposal is made to organize a meeting with all European Communist parties in Prague. The general secretary of the CC of the RCP, Nicolae Ceauşescu, suggests that the Romanian position regarding the Soviet invasion of Prague should not be raised before the UN. Furthermore, relations with the Soviet Union are analyzed.
